Transcapital NBFI has been received the prestigious “Best ToC Financial Institution” award. This award is jointly selected by the Bank of Mongolia, the Financial Regulatory Commission, and the ToC Association to recognize organizations that successfully implement Sustainable Finance Principles, lead the development of a green economy, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.

Under programs such as the “Central Asia Women in Business Program” and the “Youth in business Program”, Transcapital, with international financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), provides special financing options to women entrepreneurs and young business owners. Beyond financial support, Transcapital offers comprehensive services through its Entrepreneur Development Center, including training, seminars, advisory services, and networking opportunities.

In addition, as part of the GEFF – Green Economy Financing Facility, Transcapital collaborates with EBRD and GEFF Mongolia to provide financing aimed at increasing the accessibility of energy-efficient, high-standard green technologies for households and businesses.

Transcapital also offers green loans in partnership with the international organization WaterEquity, targeting projects that improve household drinking water quality and reduce soil pollution. These environmentally friendly loans focus on energy efficiency, air and soil pollution reduction, and sustainable household solutions.

For example, Transcapital provides CHIP-package loans for eco-friendly heating and insulation of traditional Mongolian gers, implemented with support from the Government of Mongolia, UNICEF, and the Swiss Development Cooperation. Under the EU SWITCH-Asia funded “SOAP II” project, Transcapital offers green insulation loans for private homes in ger districts with 50% cashback on interest, helping reduce air pollution and improve living conditions.

Since 2020, Transcapital has been the first NBFI in Mongolia to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policies into its operations, setting an example in the sector as an eco- and socially responsible organization. Previously recognized as an “Outstanding ToC Organization” in 2022, Transcapital has once again earned recognition as a “Best ToC Financial Institution” in 2024.
